About every one to three months, depending on your indoor air quality, remove the filter and vacuum it clean using a vacuum cleaner wand attachment.
For a deeper cleaning, take the filter outdoors and spray it with a garden hose in the opposite direction of the airflow.
When needed, spray the filter with a mild degreasing solution, allow it to set in for about three minutes, then flush the filter thoroughly with water.
